A Baby On The Way? Have Yourself a Baby Shower

A baby Shower is a great way to obtain some of the very neccessary items that are needed for the great arrival.   It helps the mom to be and makes lif easier for her friends.  And it's a great excuse for a get together!

When a woman finds out that she is pregnant is hopefully the best news she could receive. Well, perhaps second to hearing the grand proposal of a lifetime, which hopefully is followed by a brilliant wedding ceremony. Knowing that your love has borne fruit is the proverbial icing on the cake, making the happy couple the happy family.

First time mothers find it is a long and difficult job to search-out and find all the much needed equipment and different items a new baby will need. Moms-to-be should take an afternoon out and make a list of all the things the baby could need as soon as possible so that, piece by piece, everything can be purchased and made ready before the baby arrives.

However there is another, perhaps easier, way to almost have it all; without the headache or expense of it. The solution is to hold a baby shower party! The only headache the new mom-to-be is left with is to sort out the menu and prepare the food for the big day. That's a far easier headache to deal with than the former.

Once you have made the decision to hold a baby shower the burden of searching and looking for most of the needed baby stuff is passed on to the invitees. So all you have to think about for now is what form the shower will take. The best answer is to have a theme based upon color, if you know the sex of the new baby (the pink or blue thing). Or perhaps a particular character that you want your baby to like, for example Sesame street, or Looney Tunes. Another one to think about is to keep it to necessary items like baby bottles, pacifier, diapers, or if you have well off friends, some nursery furniture such as a nursery chair.

Perhaps the best way is not to have a theme at all and just leave it open. Your friends will talk amongst themselves and find out by whatever means just exactly what you would like. The main thing is that they want to celebrate your good fortune with you and that everyone enjoys the day.
