A freestanding hot tub makes a design staement

If there is one thing that could be said to have happened to the modern bathroom is that it has become a little bit more bland over the years, with many people now preferring to have very clean lines of chrome and steel rather than the old-fashioned curves that were so prominent in yesteryear. However, this is not the case for everybody, and many people are now looking at fitting a freestanding soaking tub as a way of bringing a bit of design back into the otherwise dull contemporary interiors.

The great thing about a soaking tub that is not fitted in is that it can make a real design statement, especially when it is put on a pedestal in the center of the bathroom. Another great thing is that although it is freestanding, it does not have to look out of place, simply due to the fact that there are now so many different designs in the freestanding style that you are sure to find one that will fit in with your present bathroom design.

For instance if you do have a slightly traditional looking bathroom and it may be worthwhile looking at a clawfoot freestanding tub, simply because this design really does fit in with the vintage look, mainly because the design itself is from the vintage era. However, there are now many modern types of freestanding tubs, and some of them are flat bottomed and square, which means that they can fit in to even the most contemporary designs.

The great thing about the modern style is that the plumbing can also be made to fit the bathroom easily, and so, unlike the vintage tubs, you do not need to use something such as a gooseneck faucet in order to fill the tub but can rely on modern faucets to do the job.
