The normal graduation party can be fantastic. However sometimes it can be fun to look for alternative entertainment, venues, and overall party arrangements.

When graduation come along in your family you can be very busy arranging the important things like graduation invitations and the graduation party. There is just so much to do to follow a decent plan and make it all happen on time. I think we all fall into line and have a fairly similar pattern of sending graduation invitations to a graduation party at our home or perhaps an alternative venue. We do our best to arrange a brilliant party and give our children the best graduation we can afford. In our case we did our best to involve relatives and even brought family over from Scotland. Although I did not have too much time to think I do feel that we could have better explored some alternative ideas at the time. However looking back that first graduation was fantastic. The party was a great success and we loved being with our family and friends. I do not think we could have put in any more effort to make it better. However I do wish we had taken more time to arrange some unusual and surprising events,Alternative Graduation Celebrations Articles if not arranging something completely different. We have another son graduating next year and I would like to explore some different ideas.

In terms of different touches within the framework of a graduation party and fairly normal celebrations there are quite a lot of other things you can do. You can find lots of alternative entertainers such as different styles of magicians. You could hire a part of a theatre group to act out a murder mystery. You could teach guests a new skill such as origami. You can use unusual venues like a safari park, an airplane, fairground or even a ghostly mansion. Your local area may have great alternative venues that you had not thought to use.

You can theme the party in a different way. You could have astronauts, funny vampires, warriors or skiers for example.

You can approach the party in a different way. We once had an activity day as our family love outdoor pursuits as are my son’s friends. We had safely organised rock climbing lessons, canoe lessons and a hill walking expedition all on one day at an outdoor activity centre.  Afterwards we had arranged a Scottish Ceilidh at a village hall with all our relatives and friends. We decorated the hall in Scots style, booked a Ceilidh band, arranged a huge buffet and made the whole thing a very friendly party. We had ages from 3 to 80 and everyone mixed. Some relatives acted as dance organisers and helped everyone love the dances. There were 100 people there are I loved it.

Look at your local area, the interests of the graduate, popular television shows, your family history and anything else you can think of to find some unusual ideas. Then you can get on one your graduation invitations and arranging the graduation party.
