A building block is a component of a big structure if you have to define it. However, when referred to children, a building block translates into pure joy and fun.

Foam is another popular material used to make a building block. It is soft and attractive as it can absorb many colors very easily. A building block can also be used to teach colors and shapes to elementary school kids. A building block can be shaped into a square, cube, cuboid, sphere etc., and hence the shape gets registered firmly into the kid’s mind. Another popular use of the building block is to teach the basic alphabets of a language by making blocks for each letter of the alphabet series using the plastic or foam building blocks. A variety of games can be developed using these and they can be used to delight the children who are easily captivated by colors.
