There is a trend in our society that is receiving little attention. That trend is grandparents raising grandchildren. Every year more and more grandparents are taking over full responsibility for rearing their grandkids.

Today grandparents face a new and growing challenge…raising their grandchildren.  Knowing your grandparents legal rights is becoming a necessity.

Present day factors in our society have forced grandparents back into a parental role.  Just when you think you have earned the right to slow down and relax you must become a Mom or Dad again.

This is taking a toll on the grandparents mentally and physically.  That is why it is to your benefit to know your legal rights as grandparents.

This information is not readily available.  We are just beginning to realize the magnitude of the problem, and the information has not caught up with society.

Grandparents are increasingly finding it necessary to go to court to resolve these issues and be able to fully protect the children.

As you know, the court room can be very unpredictable.  Once, you decide to go to court you must be prepared.  Walking in blind is a sure recipe for disaster.  This is one time you must know what you are doing.

There are a few good references for your guidance.  But, if you have been searching you know they are hard to uncover.  You need to know who you can trust and if the information is correct.

Look for organizations the information company is associated with, like the Better Business Bureau.  Also, are they members of any governing associations?  Use your better judgment.

Just because they are attorneys does not mean they know about grandparents legal rights.  This is a specialized field that takes experience.  So, look at the authors back ground.  Most web sites offering information will offer credentials.
