How a bridal shower can be fun to plan
Throwing a bridal shower can be a load of fun, whether it's traditional or creative, and especially if there's an original and personalized angle to it. Any party planner will tell you that the trick to throwing a successful shower begins with a great theme. Many many themes to choose from for example, Two love birds, Blushing bride, and wedding shower wishes. Set the tone and launch the theme from the beginning with the invitations.
A Bridal Shower Party is a very important occasion where bridesmaid invites the guests where they offer gifts to the bride for her new home. This is a very sensitive party as compared to any other parties because a lot of people invited are from very close circles and the arrangements have to be perfect.Ensure there is enough wedding party supplies available for the guest to use, plates, cups & napkins. For this matter, the invitations, bridal party decorations, games, menu, etc. should be such that all the guests who are coming to the party get truly involved and blend in the environment. Let us focus on the menu if you are going to set the Bridal Party Shower at home.
Most often showers are afternoon or evening events, though any time of day is acceptable. Many bridal parties now take the bride out for a day at the spa instead of a shower. For an active Jack or Jill (couple) shower the party could be a beach barbecue complete with volleyball, Frisbee, music and dancing.
Some guests like a party that involves them in an activity such as the more popular bridal shower games that are becoming almost a necessity for the average shower. These active and more involved games aren’t like trivia games or the ‘newly wedded’ game that’s adopted from the television show. Everyone usually has an equal chance to win something or just have a little fun.
Another good game idea is the ‘Grab Bag’ game. Usually only women can participate in this one. Before the bridal shower make up a list of items typically found in a purse. These are fairly obvious, hairbrush, keys, wallets, tampons, loose change, old mints, etc. You can even add a few unusual items like a pair of tights, condoms, or nail polish remover. This is a fun game and you’ll find that you can really learn a lot about a person by what they keep in their purses.
A quick game is the ‘Rice Bowl’ game. Place a bag of rice in a large bowl with safety pins or (safer for the guests) birdseed like sunflower seeds. Guest will all go through the bowl at once for about two minutes looking for seeds or pins. Whoever has the most at the end of the time is the winner.
