Note Menstrual Cycle
One of the most important pregnancy tips is to monitor the menstrual cycles. To ensure conception, have sex during ovulation. Ovulation occurs around 14 days after the last period. Nowadays, test kits are available in the market that helps to find out the period of ovulation. To know the time of ovulation, a woman may note her body temperature daily because at the time of ovulation, it rises.

Right sex position
To get pregnant, watch the position for sexual intercourse. Woman being on the top of her partner or intercourse in standing position should be avoided as in these positions the sperm is likely to flow out of the vagina. Use of scented tampons, vaginal sprays and artificial lubricants is not advisable as they can cause infections and remove cervical mucus. After sexual intercourse, a woman may place her hip region on a raised platform such as a pillow for few minutes to increase her chances of getting pregnant.

Healthy lifestyle
For pregnancy, a woman must follow healthy lifestyle habits such as weight and stress management, following a well-balanced diet etc. A balanced diet helps manage the proper production of hormones and therefore, it is beneficial for both man and woman. Intake of imbalanced diet or consuming excess of food rich in unsaturated fat can lead to a rise in oestrogen levels in a woman and similarly, diminish the man’s ability to produce fertile sperms. Such hormonal imbalances reduce the conceiving chances of a woman considerably.

Folic Acid
To strengthen the chances of pregnancy, a woman is advised to increase her intake of folic acid. Folic acid is naturally found in green leafy vegetables such as spinach, mustard greens, broccoli and asparagus. Beetroot is another natural and rich source of folic acid. There are folic supplements available in the market that can also be taken. It, however, is always better to take medical advice before a woman starts taking increased amount of folic acid.

No Stress
Stress management is crucial to ensure pregnancy. A woman, who wants to get pregnant, needs to be in a relaxed state of mind for giving the best fertility conditions for conception. Yogic breathing techniques can be practiced to shun stress or negative thoughts.
