Printable Party Games: From Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Beyond

To keep your party flowing and fun, party games are a must. Don’t rely on your imagination; print some games that are perfect for the event.

No matter what kind of party you are having or the ages of the guests who are attending, it is important to have some kind of activity. From a group of sugar-hyped toddlers to a bunch of booze-fueled bridesmaids, you need to focus people’s energies or they tend to get a little erratic and out of control. You don’t want your party to be boring, nor do you want it to be so out there that the cops show up, so a few well planned party games are the key.

You can find a fairly wide variety of printable party games, usually separated by type or age group. Some will need a few supplies, but nothing major in most cases. For instance, you might need to include some tape for the printable games version of pin the tail on the donkey or you may need pencils and slips of paper for your party guests for other games.  There are updated versions of some very classic party games that you can print out so you should be able to find several that will be perfect for your party theme, no matter what it might be.

While you are searching the listings of printable party games, look for one that is active and one that is more sedate and alternate the two types for the length of the party depending on the age of the guests and their interests. For instance, a younger group of kids may only have the attention span to play two games for the length of the party, which means you should time the event to include food, gifts, the two games and then the goodbyes. For a bridal shower or a bachelorette party, plan on having a few games, including a few that might be a little more risqué and raucous. Most of the printable games for this genre will include drinking variations- for instance, in some you have to drink for every wrong (or right) answer you give.

In addition to these printable games, some sites also allow you to print medals, badges or certificates for the winners. Include these with the gift or goody bags, making sure that everyone ends up with something, especially for certain age groups. Those bachelorettes really hate to be left out of anything! So, while getting some of those printable party games make sure to get some other fun stuff as well.
