It’s a Wonderful Life

Many say that this film is an essential Christmas movie. The story, where James Stewart features George Bailey, is the one of a man who is experiencing bad times to the point of wishing he had never been born. When his angel literally falls on earth, and grants his wish for a short period of time. He will then be able to look and see how things would have been if he really was not born. The movie is all about hope. It allows us to realize that no matter how small we thought we can be in this big vast world, still we have something to give, we have something to share with anyone else. And that any really small deed we can consider can mean more bigger to the others.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

The movie, based on Dr Seuss' picture book, it is definitely a hit to both children as well as grownups alike. This Christmas movie is about a grinch who is rejected as a child because of his physical manifestation. As he grows up, he takes on revenge against the people in the town of Whoseville and plans to prevent the coming of Christmas by stealing all the ornaments and gifts. Fortunately, there is a young girl who knows him from the inside and understands his feelings and teaches him the real significance of Christmas so he backs out on his evil plans and eventually the people of Whoseville welcome him again.


A Christmas Carol

Not only this Christmas movie surpassed time but it also remains a favourite for a lot of people. The story, written by Charles Dickens is about an old merchant, Ebenezer Scrooge, whose only concern in life is nothing but to make more and more money. He rejected everybody who gets in the way of his desire to make money, even his loved ones. After having declared that Christmas is a fraud, he dreams that he is visited by Christmas ghosts that will show him his wrong ways and hope he would change his mind and walk the good path in his remaining days on earth. The lesson of how to be always there for your fellowmen and doing the right ways is taught by this wonderful Christmas movie.

There is no need of action and/or violence to make these films classic. It only takes a good and worthwhile story to let everybody know how wonderful Christmas can truly be.
