Pregnancy symptoms may look weird at times. It is nature's way of telling the mom to be and other concerned persons that a new life is entering into their old lives. While doctors and physicians may say that these are just normal, you on the other hand feel when faced with an awkward situation like unsightly strange marks on your skin, is far from normal. You should be aware of such signs and symptoms as it would keep you prepared for tackling them, mentally and otherwise.

• Cravings: It is common for pregnant women to crave for unforeseen things, things that they have never done or wanted before. This is certainly a very weird symptom for a woman as people around her may feel something has gone amiss. This is also important on the other hand because the body needs a reservoir for vitamin c and calcium for the baby in the womb.
• Morning Sickness: This is one of the early signs of pregnancy and is due to increased level of hormones which can lead to nausea. This can last up to the second semester.
• Vaginal Discharge: The white or pale yellow liquid that gets discharged during pregnancy is a frequent phenomenon. This happens due to an increase in the vaginal blood as the baby is developing there.

Choking of Nose Your nose may always feel choked even though you do not have a cold. This happens because the increased blood flow and hormonal activity causes the mucus membrane to swell up. The swelling up is expected to dry and eventually bleed. You can try some home remedies for preventing this strange pregnancy symptom or call your doctor in case of excessive bleeding.

• An Enhanced Sense of Smell: This is another very weird one. Women who are pregnant start getting an enhanced sense of smell. It is said that when the estrogen increases, this happens. It also protects the woman and the baby as then the woman would know the food she is eating! However, many women do not get this symptom.
• Gas and Complication: This happens in the early part of the pregnancy, with the increase in the levels of progesterone, a woman can face the problem of gas and constipation. Progesterone has the effect of relaxing the muscles, including the muscles involved in the digestive process. The relaxed muscle also causes release of gas more often.
