At last incorporated October 15, 1901, the city has evolved by leaps and bounds in 109 years. Navy base, is situated on the Kitsap Peninsula? Serving as the home base for the Navy’s fleet, in 2004 Naval Submarine Base Bangor and Naval Station Bremerton were joined and now deliver operating services for surface ships and Fleet Ballistic Missile. In honor of our Military, the “Puget Sound Navy Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the naval heritage of the Pacific Northwest for the benefit of the U.S. Navy and general public”.
