Compare Car Insurance for Teens

Teenage drivers are the highest payers when it comes to coverage. By comparing insurers they can find something they can afford.

Young drivers pay more for policies then any other age group. This is due to the fact that surveys show that their lack of experience behind the wheel can lead to accidents. Studies show that teenagers are far more dangerous on the road the older drivers, especially males.

If one were to compare insurance quotes from multiple providers they may be able to find something affordable.  There are many reasons why car insurance for teens is so high. One reason is the fact that they account for nearly 30% of the cost of injuries as a result of traffic collisions. Due to this, insurers must charge to compensate for their losses on the pay outs.

Inexperience and bad judgment are another reason they have higher premiums. Due to their lack of experience as a driver they are more likely to underestimate dangerous situations and less likely to recognize hazards. They also have a likelihood of speeding and tailgating.

With all of this said, the most effective way to save is to compare as many companies as possible. Do not just compare price but coverage and options as well. Maybe being added to a parent’s existing policy can save a few bucks or raising a deductible. If the teen is a student with a “B” grade point average or higherArticle Submission, many companies will give them a discount. Some companies will offer discounts for completion of a safe driving course. The bottom line is that shopping and comparing will pay off if an individual wants to find savings.
