Christmas is just around the corner and more and more people will be traveling just to be with their loved ones and family for the yuletide season. Roads will be having more motorists during holiday season and more vehicles on the road means higher chance of vehicular accidents occurring. Yet,Free Auto Insurance Quotes- Better be safe this coming Christmas Articles even with the high risk of car accidents few people still do not have auto insurance. Auto Insurances with high premium is the one of the reason why people do not to go insurance agencies and ask for an Auto Insurance quote, California on the other hand has a solution for this problem: free auto insurance quotes.

Recently last November 18, Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner and the California High Patrol or CHP announced something that will brighten the day of people who wish to have auto insurance but could not afford one. It is the CLCA or the California’s Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program. In the said program drivers can afford an auto insurance coverage by just having to pay $265 per year in the San Diego Area. Having to pay a little less than $22 per month, an eligible driver could feel at ease and not worry about having a car accident and pay for the damages according to Commissioner Poizner.

The holidays are the time where most Californian drivers would rather use their money to buy gifts and presents to their love ones rather than get an auto insurance quote, California having so many motorist on the street during the holiday, it is difficult to guarantee safety on the road. Commissioner Poizner believes that motorist should capitalize and take advantage of the California’s Low Cost Automobile Insurance Program and start an investment by having a secure driving through the holidays and the rest of the year.

So how does a motorist qualify for the CLCA program? Who are the people eligible to this? Like most insurance agencies when getting an auto insurance quote, the CLCA program has their terms and rules to be followed to qualify.
For a driver to qualify for the CLCA program he/she must not have more than one at-fault property damage only accident or have one point for a moving violation within the past 3 years. The driver is disqualified if he/she is involved at at-fault accident involving bodily injury or even death within the past 3 years. Drivers with a record of felony and misdemeanor conviction for a violation of the Vehicle Code within the past 3 years are also disqualified.  Family Income eligibility limits of 27,075 dollars for a single person, 36,425 dollars for a single two persons and 55,125 dollars for a family of four. The last but not the least requirement is that the value of the vehicle of the eligible driver must not exceed 20,000 dollars.

Everybody else is cutting corners to make ends meet specially this Christmas season but with the high risk of car accident during the holidays it is not wise to skip on insurances. An auto Insurance coverage assures families of motorist of not worrying about financial problem caused by a car accident. Last and most importantly, drive safely during the holidays. The best gift a motorist could give his/her family is coming home and safe for a warm Christmas dinner.
