Hampshire accountancy firm Lashmars has announced its continuing support for a range of good causes in and around the New Forest and beyond.
The Lymington branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, along with
nearby Oakhaven Hospice are two major beneficiaries of the Hampshire accountant’s
charitable giving in 2011.
In addition, the Royal Yachting Association charity Sailability, which helps disabled
people participate in sailing events, will also receive support - but that is
not all...
The Hampshire accountant has also pledged sponsorship to A.A.I.R. (the asthma,
allergy and inflammation research charity) which is based at Southampton General
Hospital and works to find out more about respiratory illnesses and how they
might be managed or even cured.
And, Artsway, a contemporary visual arts venue delivering a programme of
contemporary visual arts and professional opportunities for artists, gets a
share too.
The support given to these causes by Lashmars highlights how many local
businesses are willing to help their community as central government
significantly cuts public services during the difficult economic times.
Boss Peter Lashmar said that it was vitally important to support good causes in
the local area and contribute to the local community, especially during the
fragile economic recovery.
“As Hampshire tax accountants we naturally want to lend our support to good
causes in the local area because we all ultimately benefit when individuals and
businesses act charitably.” Said Peter Lashmar.
“There is a perception in society that accountants make a lot of money and this
is mostly true, relatively speaking, so it is important to give something back
by investing in our local community for the greater good.” He added.
