Now that Obama has been in office for over four months we can start to analyze his stimulus plans. Have the measures he has taken really helped the overall economy?

President Obama was elected on the platform of Change and that is definitely what he has done.  Since he became president,Has Obama Helped the Economy? Articles he has definitely changed many things there were going wrong in the past.  The question that remains is "are those changes better for the overall economy?"  The presidents only job is not to fix the economy but that is the number one issue at hand for Mr. Obama.

The first change that Obama made was to tax the rich more and the poor less.  This Robin Hood type tax system was well received by many United States citizens as they would benefit by seeing less taxes.  What many Americans do not realize is that if we tax the rich more, they are going to pass those taxes along to the people using their services.  If Donald Smith makes $750,000 a year fixing cars and he is getting taxed higher under the Obama administration what do you think Donald Smith's first moves is going to be?  That is correct, he is going to raise prices so his increased taxes do not hurt as bad.

President Obama is not giving out a one lump sum stimulus check; rather the Obama stimulus check will come in the form of less taxes on most Americans paychecks. Once again, the rich will not see this as they are actually going to be taxed more.  Overall, we do not know if these tax cuts have helped the economy as we are too early in the process, but the overall economy does not look much better now than it did six months ago.
