The economy has everyone afraid,Why Creditors of Unsecured Debt Are Fearful and Will Agree to Generous Debt Settlements Articles and running for cover. Consumers are afraid that they won't be able to pay their bills. Creditors of unsecured debt are also afraid that consumers won't be able to pay their bills. For once, the creditors and the consumers have the exact same problem, but with different results if those problems are not resolved.

If you cannot pay your bills, your credit is severely damaged. However, if you cannot pay your bills, many creditors will go out of business and be forced into bankruptcy. Obviously, their problem is much bigger than yours, as it has more serious consequences. You can always work towards repairing your credit, or just allow time to simply take care of it, but your creditors will lose their lively hood and close their doors forever, with no hope of recovery.

This is why those same creditors will agree to debt settlements so easily today - and why they are even accepting debt settlement agreements that they never would have accepted just a few years ago - those debt settlements that favor you a great deal more than they favor the creditor. They need those funds to stay in business, and they know that the alternative is that as debt continues to suck you under, not only will you not be able to pay any portion of your debt, but your credit won't allow you to get any additional credit in the near future.

While these companies really didn't care about your financial welfare in the past, they certainly care today - because it finally affects them greatly, in ways that they never imagined before. They need you to settle your debts today. They need you to keep your credit in decent shape, and they need you to seek additional credit in the future if they hope to survive.

There has really never been a more advantageous time for consumers to try and eliminate unsecured debt. Creditors are very concerned about collecting and most have government money to make eliminating some of your debt financially feasible.
