This article is the first of two parts that will show you the basic steps in eliminating toxins from our diets and eating right. Every day, in our own simple way, we can gradually change this earth and make it a better place for all of its inhabitants. This article helps to demonstrate another step in Greening our planet one person at a time, in all aspects of your life.

The kitchen is one of the most essential places in the house,Making everyday a “Green Diet Day” - Part 1 of 2 Articles because this is where we store, cook and prepare our food. Getting back to the basics with eating, its about getting our nourishment for the day, so when we eat, we should eat healthy. Healthy foods not only keep our organs and bodily functions working properly, but it can help in sustaining our daily energy.It is vital in that we standardize and structure our nutrition and health practices in our kitchens.  This notion should be prioritized and be given full attention in every household. After all, without our health and being health conscious, it is only a matter of time before our bodies and organs start to malfunction and not work properly. In an era where green living is becoming an innovation, we tend to create ideas and search for ways to be healthy, when in fact the answers may already exist. All of these green living ideas do not require technology, they are all present in our environment, and you just need to grab them all and discover them.This concept is the idea of going back to basics. Going back to our ancestors practices, or shall we say natural practices. They didn’t use processed foods, preservatives, artificial flavoring or seasonings in cooking. They only used fresh and natural ingredients, and herbs and spices from their gardens to brighten up their dishes.  By studying these ancient practices, we can easily create a plan and get in the habit of having a healthy and green diet.  A green diet pertains to eating and living healthy, as well as making dishes from natural ingredients.  Everybody is fond of eating at restaurants and the plethora of food chains. This is a bad habit and should be minimized or be withdrawn for good. This is the one simplest way we can start our green diet. Usually in these establishments, they serve oily and fatty foods and use artificial flavoring. Frankly, you are not assured of the quality of the food that you are eating. It is suggested that you should practice eating at home despite of your busy schedules, because aside from saving money from, you can also gain quality time with your family, friends and colleagues.
