Eating healthy is very difficult for a lot of people and that is because of the overabundance of processed foods in our modern society. Eating healthy can stave off many modern diseases and afflictions. The goal of eating healthy is not to live your life eating bland chicken breasts and salads all the time. The goal is to eat healthy most of the time and to save your non-healthy food days for special meals. What do I mean by this? Well,Spice Up Your Health Food Articles it is simple really!

The way I approach my own diet is to use lots of spices. Now, if you are reading this and you don’t like spicy food, let me explain that using spices is an art that you can use to make food tasty and not necessarily painful to eat. So for example, if you are trying to make a salad, use oregano and lots of green herbs along with salad leafs and even fruits.

If you want to eat Tuna, for example, do not be satisfied with just opening up the can and dumping the meat onto a piece of bread. Try cutting up some onions and shallots and mixing the Tuna in with them along with some ketchup and paprika. This will spice up your tuna nicely. Most of the bad press that has come to spices has been targeted towards salt.

Excess salt can cause high blood pressure and water retention but Salt in moderation can make your food taste amazing. But you don’t have to use salt if you don’t want. You can use other spices such as garlic and onion powder that can make your food seem incredible.

Another idea for cooking fish is to actually buy a full fillet from the supermarket and use salt free Soy sauce, some bell peppers and a little bit of olive oil to dress your fish. Then simply bake it. Fish is great because if it very healthy for you and there are so many different varieties that you can never get bored with fish. So go ahead and experiment with various fish and remember  you don’t have to fry the fish to make it taste good. Baked fish is excellent.

But it’s not all about eating at home all the time. If you like to try new kinds of food or you have a favorite food that you like to eat at a restaurant, then save your junk food credits for that meal. The key is to give yourself a free pass once a week. Don’t blow your free pass on crappy junk food or at your office vending machine. Make the most of it using it on the foods you truly like to eat and for the rest of the time, eat healthy and spice it up.
