The Perfect Summer Picnic

Planning the perfect picnic can be a difficult task.  A quality picnic basket can make all the difference in having a great day, and having a disaster.


Planning the perfect picnic is all about location.  First, think of how many people are going, then decide on what activities will take place.  Make sure the location is size appropriate and offers the amenities you need like bathrooms, trash cans, shaded spaces. Be sure to pack any chairs, blankets or tables you will need. 

A quality basket makes all the difference on a picnic, helping keep pest out of your food and allowing for easy transport. Make sure you have the right size cooler and pick a theme for your meal.  Carry a cooler that is appropriate in size for the number of people that you are inviting. If it is a picnic for two do not carry a large food chest. If it is a large group do not try to stuff all the picnic items into one small cooler. 

Choosing a theme for your picnic gives your guest something to look forward to, and add a little variety to the event.  Having a picnic at home for a collegiate game is a great way to host a party without a lot of work.  Here are a picnic ideas for your summer.

Breakfast picnic for two - coffee, bagels, fruit, muffins, hard boiled eggs
BBQ - burgers, buns, grill, pasta salad, chips,  bottled or canned drinks, watermelon

Beach - fruit, cheese, small sandwiches, bottled or canned drinks, individual chips
