Everybody loves having those sweet pancakes at breakfast. These are easy to make and one can make their own modifications and use their own variations to alter the basic recipe. The best part is that pancakes take very little time to make. You can even make the batter and refrigerate and take it out only when needed. Basic Ingredients 200g or 7oz plain flour 350-400ml or 12-14fl oz milk 2 eggs 1 table spoon vegetable oil Pinch salt Vegetable oil How to prepare Take a large bowl and put the flour in it. Make a well in the center and pour in the whisked eggs and milk. Take a large spoon and whisk the liquid mixture gently so that the ingredients mix with each other and blend completely. Continue to whisk till you get a smooth batter. Add tbsp vegetable oil and mix further. Take a crêpe pan. If you don’t have a crêpe pan, you can take a frying pan and put it on the flame. Place a few drops of oil on the pan and wipe it of after some time. This is to grease the pan. Keep the heat medium under the pan. Take a ladleful of batter and place it on the pan, spreading it at the same time. You should get a nice thin layer of evenly spread batter on the pan. Cook the pancake for about 30-40 seconds. Now, take a palette knife and lift the pancake carefully. See if it has turned light golden brown on the underside. Flip it over and cook for about 30-40 seconds on the other side. Once it is golden brown on both sides, it means it is done and ready to eat. Transfer the hot pancake to a serving plate. You can eat the pancakes right away or store them for further use. You can cool them, wrap them in foils and store them in the refrigerator. You can add caster sugar and zest of an orange to the batter of the pancakes to give them a great flavor. Many people add dill and parsley or any other finely chopped herbs. Some add Parmesan cheese too to get a different flavor. Now that you know how to make pancakes, go ahead and enjoy them with your friends and family. Tips 1. The eggs should be whisked properly 2. The mixture should not be over mixed.
