How to Enhance Your Method of Carpet Cleaning for Next Level of Treating Coffee Stains

The coffee stain being an ultimate horror for the owner of a light-colored carpet! Though everyone is very careful when moving a hot cup of coffee around the house, accidents do happen. What does it take to remove coffee stain from carpet?

Before the caffeine does its job, however, you're likely to still be half asleep, and that can lead to accidents--like spilling your coffee on your carpet.

Coffee spills always happen at the most inconvenient time — as you're running out the door (late for an appointment, of course), in the middle of your dinner party, or just when you finally sat down to curl up with a book. Here's how to fight the stain fast and get back to your life.

If it splashes on your carpet, next thing to do

Blot up as much of the coffee as you can. Then, mix one tablespoon of liquid dish soap, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and two cups of warm water. Using a clean, white cloth, sponge the stain with the mixture. Apply a little bit at a time, blotting frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears. Finally, sponge with cold water and blot dry.

A basic rule of thumb applies for all kinds of carpet stains – the sooner you get started, the happier you will be with the outcome. Coffee spills are no exception.

When it comes to spilled coffee, time is of the essence; the sooner you can treat these spills, the less likely that there will be a stain. However, there are times when we don't (or can't) clean up a spill right away and we're left with a mark as a reminder of our delay. Here are several carpet cleaning options to get the stain gone and your carpet back to normal.

Though it looks really threatening, the coffee spills is a relatively easy one to deal with. Some of the things you can use to remove the coffee stain include a mild detergent, baking soda, white vinegar and a spray bottle.

Dealing with a stain that is still wet is the best case scenario. Use the detergent and try to clean the carpet gently. Refrain from rubbing the cleaning liquid into the fabric because such an aggressive approach will make it very difficult to remove the stain.

Pour some water in the spray bottle and spray on top of the area you were just cleaning. Pat dry with paper towels. Sprinkle some baking soda on top to absorb the excess moisture. Let the baking soda sit for a couple of minutes and use the vacuum cleaner to remove it from the treated area. This procedure will often be sufficient to clean the coffee stain.

If some of the coffee is still in the carpet, use a mixture of equal parts of water and white vinegar. Treat and clean the stained area once again and dry it thoroughly upon completion.

A larger spill or a coffee stain that has already dried up can be removed with a commercial cleaning product. Choose a cleaner on the basis of carpet fiber that you have. You will also find some carpet cleaners that are especially formulated for coffee stains.

Moisten the area and apply the cleaning product. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to get the best outcome. If it wont work the first timeFind Article, ask assistance from pros
