Usually made up of bamboo poles that are about 3/4-inch in diameter, Rolled Wood Fencing can make a great privacy fence in your back yard. This rolled fencing is woven with copper clad steel wire on a machine and usually comes in 8 foot rolls, although it can be made any length you wish.

Generally, this type of fencing comes in 6 foot high fencing but can be shorter or even higher up to 7 feet high. There are no rails or posts involved. There are no adornments either unless you decide you want to add them later.

This type of fencing is usually installed on wooden strips or rails that are attached to masonry. Usually, if the span between the posts is more than 8 feet, it is best to use rails that are 2 by 6 at the top and bottom which helps the fencing avoid sagging.

These fences make a great way to give privacy to your yard or hide a chain link fence that you don't want to do away with. The fencing is attached to the support structure with staples. The staples catch the wire and are not seen because they disappear between the poles of bamboo.

An 8 foot length of fencing weighs about 70 lbs. or so. Because it can be attached to its own support structure or to regular chain link fencing, it is quite a versatile product. Putting up rolled wood fencing is a job that can be a do it yourself type of job, or you can hire someone from the home improvement store to come put it up for you.

Whether or not you have the fencing installed or install it yourself is really only a matter of cost. Of course, to have it installed costs more. The fencing is quite worth it once you have it installed as it gives a natural look and feel to your backyard and gardens.

Rolled wood fencing is one of the prettiest things to use to hide your chain link fence. Most people would prefer to look at a wooden fence rather than a chain link one while sitting to relax in their backyard. This is why the rolled fencing is a great choice.
