E-governance is developed for the public sector to use IC Technology to increase the delivery of information and service to the common people, promote citizen participation in decision-making, and make government more accountable, transparent, and efficient.

The Ministry of Information and Technology declares that e-governance goes towards the computerization method to self-govern and stand-alone operation. Instead, it implies significant variations in government operations such as setting new responsibilities for the government, official, judiciary and citizens.
