UPAVP: Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad is a development body working under Uttar Pradesh Government. The authority works in the field of new housing projects, community services, hospitals, educational institutes, neighborhood parks and playgrounds. The main purpose of the authority is to develop houses for all sections of the society.
Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad (UPAVP): It is a development body constituted for the development of affordable housing for Economical Weaker Section, Lower Income Group & Middle Income Group of the society. The body is established by Uttar Pradesh Government. The body is established to plan & develop state of art at affordable price and the authority also works on the development works like modern facilities in new housing projects, community services, hospitals, educational institutes, neighborhood parks and playgrounds. The main aim of the body is to provide house for all section of the society.
The government of Uttar Pradesh has taken an initiating step towards affordable housing in UP. This step is named as Samajwadi Awas Yojna under which the development bodies under UP Government will construct the houses for all section of the society and provide them at affordable price. The development bodies will construct approx 3 lakh houses under Samajwadi Awas Yojna by 2016.
Samajwadi Awas Yojna: The scheme was launched in the end of year 2014 & the name of the scheme ‘Samajwadi’ means ‘Socialist’ was in the preamble of constitution. The scheme will fulfill the dream of common people of owning a house. Under the scheme many development bodies has launched number of project with 1BHK, 2BHK & 3BHK flats for EWS, LIG and MIG categories of the society. Apart from other development authority UPAVP has also launched few housing projects under which they offered flats at reasonable price.
UPAVP Housing Project under Samajwadi Awas Yojna: Currently five housing projects of UPAVP are running under which total 9340 flats are available for registration of Economical Weaker Section, Lower Income Group and Medium Income Group of the society. These projects are located at the prime locations of Meerut and Lucknow.
Govardhan Enclave: The project is situated in Sector-20 Lucknow. In the project total 2400 units of 1BHK and 2BHK type & both 1BHK & 2BHK flats are available in two different sizes (1BHK: 26.61 square meter, 37.65 square meter; 2BHK: 59.11 square meter, 74.80 square meter). 1BHK flats are available at the estimated cost of Rs. 12.25 lakh & 16.35 lakh.
Saryu Enclave: It is located at Sector-7D Lucknow and it contains total 2344 units of 1BHK & 2BHK Type. Out of total 1408 units are 1BHK and remaining 936 are 2BHK type. The estimated cost of 1BHK flats is Rs. 12.25 lakh & 16.35 lakh.
Gomati Enclave: The project is situated in Sector-8, Lucknow and it includes total 1968 apartment of 1BHK & 2BHK Type.
Amrapali Enclave: In this project total 1044 flats of 1BHK and 2BHK type are available for registrations and the estimated cost of 1BHK flats is Rs. 13.50 lakh, Rs. 16.55 lakh and 2BHK flats area available at the estimated cost of Rs. 27.00 lakh Rs. 29.45 lakh.
Bhagirathi Enclave: In this project total 1584 units are available in G+3 type building. The building includes three types of apartments F-32 (G+3), F-57 (G+3) & F-62 (G+3) and the estimated cost of flats is Rs. 8.36 lakh, Rs. 16.66 lakh & Rs. 19.19 lakh respectively.
All the above five schemes are currently open for registration of flats under Samajwadi Awas Yojna. The scheme was started on 2 May 2015 and the last date of application submission for flat is 2 July 2015. It is a good initiative step of UPAVP towards affordable housing for all categories of the society. If these kind of project will regularly launched by development authorities then the mission to provide houses for all will definitely fulfill by 2022.
