Many of these health issues are the direct result of years,A Medical Model That Will Work Better Articles even decades of neglect and abuse brought about by the patient, now wanting a silver "quick fix" bullet for the problems.

However, with the constant medical breakthroughs that happen everyday, many of these health issues will find hope in the form of medications that will temporarily address the symptoms, but will not be as effective if the patient is resistant to lifestyle changes and cooperation. This makes effective real long term improvements almost non existent. Simply put, fixing a lifetime worth of damage and neglect will take more than a quick repair job.

Of course, surgery is very often recommended for serious health problems but many of these are very simply a way of pulling the disease or diseased organ or portion of the organ out of the patient. Most people would say that they are functioning fine on half a kidney or lung, however the body is a system and one missing piece definitely affects the overall function of the body as a whole. Pretending that removal of one organ or even a part of an organ is insignificant is quite preposterous.

It has become common practice for surgeons to remove many of the minimal organs like tonsils and appendix because they are easy to remove if they cause any problems and don't appear to be missed by the individual or the body vital functioning. However, because these seemingly insignificant organs are tied to the immune system, more consideration should be considered before these organs are so quickly slated for removal except in extreme circumstance situations.

This all too common medical model is flawed from the start and leaves medical professional little options to choose from and the results less promising for the individual patients. It is common for the individual to have a problem admitting that much of their health issues are directly related to their personal attitudes toward their own health and the silver bullet modern medical quick fix expectations they have placed on doctors and modern medicine. Nothing except death is going to be very effective or successful for any patient, until the individual attitude toward better health choices and changes are put into daily practice, thus allowing the doctors to have more options available to turn the tide of the destructive lifestyles and attitudes.
