The world of skin care products has always been partial to females. But with the concept of ‘metro-sexuality’,All About Men’s Skin Care Articles men are increasingly coming out of their shells and admitting to taking care of their skins.

And today there is a great collection of effective skin care products that cater to the mens’ unique skin requirements. Here is a list of skincare products that should find space in your skin care regimen:

Cleanser
A cleanser removes the bacteria, debris and oil residue from the skin. If you are someone who spends a good amount of time outdoors and ‘sweaty,’ ‘greasy’ or ‘dirty’ is what best describes your face, then it’s a real essential for you. Also, try not to use body soaps on your face as they usually contain harsh chemicals and deodorants that can irritate your skin.

Use a cleanser that removes all the dirt from the skin surface without over-drying it.

Toner
Using a toner is an absolute must after the cleansing your skin. This is because the cleanser opens up the skin pores and removes all dirt and debris from within. The opened pores need to be closed or more bacteria enter it. A toner fills up all the skin pores and tones your skin all over.

Use a toner that includes Witch hazel and botanicals like aloe vera that will re-condition your skin and make it soft and smooth.

Scrubs
An exfoliating scrub removes all the dead skin cells from your face that clog the skin pores and cause acne breakouts. There is a range of men’s skin products that offer scrubs designed specifically for your skin type.

However, you don’t need to use it daily as then it may irritate your skin. Rather, do it twice or thrice a week.

Spot treatments
This is the most common of shaving problems. When you shave, some hair strands curl around and grow back underneath the skin. These ingrown hairs are painful and bumpy and susceptible for scarring and other skin infections. A spot treatment can resolve this problem and prevent further growth of inborn hair.

When picking up your spot treatment products, keep a watch for Alpha hydroxy acids that remove dry skin cells and stop the growth of hair underneath.

Aftershave
Be it lotion, cram or spray, applying an aftershave is a must after shaving. An aftershave moisturizes you skin, heals any cuts that may have occurred and leaves you with a lingering scent.

Choose an aftershave that best matches your skin type and has cooling properties. If you have sensitive skin, use products that are botanical or free of alcohol.

Moisturizer
Moisturizes keep your kin hydrated all day long. There are certain moisturizers that include sunscreens that keep your skin protected from the harmful radiations of sunlight. Also, since they are designed for specific skin types, they don’t have any side effects.

Those who have oily skins should choose a moisturizer that is oil free and is non greasy.
