Anxiety makes a person breathe heavily. Breathing fast can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, breathlessness and tingling of the hands and feet. A deep breath from the diaphragm will avoid this symptom of anxiety. Breathing normally would make the entire body calm also.

Meditation is also a self help technique.  As some of the meditation just minimizes anxiety, the meditation using more of the mind, helps in providing relief from anxiety better. The prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that displays serenity and joy will be boosted when a person undergoes regular meditation.

By being in a physically healthy state helps cure anxiety attacks. It would be done so by taking in healthy and nutritious foods, combined with a regular exercise.

Adapting a Healthy Diet

Make it a point to include foods from all food groups in your diet. So include lean protein foods, fruits and vegetables to your diet, while avoiding processed and fatty foods. It would also be better to avoid caffeine products like coffee, sodas and cocoa as caffeine is a strong trigger for anxiety attacks.

Multi-vitamin is also recommended as part of the daily diet, as this would provide the vitamins and minerals needed to promote a feeling of well-being; thus overcoming anxiety.

An Everyday Exercise is Advisable and Essential

Exercise is a very effective way of an anxiety self help technique. 30 minutes of exercise will release the endorphins of the body, a natural mood enhancing chemicals in the body, which is better than any mood enhancing drug a doctor can prescribe for anxiety.
