You (hair, skin, nails, bones, thoughts, etc.) are what you eat. There is only one body, therefore only one way to eat. One diet (central theme plus two variations, spices and herbs) can prevent and or cure most disease.

The skin is made from food.

The body digests,Beautiful skin, from within Articles transforms food, nutrients into blood into structure and function, into health of disease. There are only two kinds of foods, nutrients: building and cleansing.

Building foods, nutrients, protein and fat, build and fuel  Cleansing foods, nutrients, water, minerals, sugar, vitamins and enzymes reduce, cleanse, cool and moisten.

The correct amount of building and cleansing produces and maintains the correct amount of structure and function where the body mind can thrive.

Any amounts, greater or less, in the extreme, weaken, sicken the body mind via too much, overbuilt or too little, under built.

Low protein, low fat (milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, beans, etc.) and high carbohydrate (bread, pasta, vegetables, fruit, juices, sugar) diet, in the extreme, tend to decrease, thin the blood, which in turn, decreases, thins and dries the skin, hair, nails, bones, memory, vision, etc.  Eczema, partial facial flushing, red spots, splotches, cracked skin and or exposed capillaries, blue veins are often caused by blood deficiency, thinning of the blood.

Blood builds, fuels, moistens, cools, warms and reddens all bodily structures, including the skin.

Blood, protein and fat deficiency is generally associated with women who (a) tend to menstruate and (b) eat a high carbohydrate and low protein, low fat diet. This combination predisposes women towards blood deficiency.

Cooked foods, more protein and fat (meat, eggs, turkey, chicken), spices, grains (rice) and fruit will help alleviate this condition, in most cases. There are always exceptions. Check with your doctor.

The excess, hot condition (red, raised, hard painful, pimples, boils, pus, dry, flaky skin, psoriasis) is generally caused by a diet that is excessively hot, overbuilt (red meat, eggs, cheese, fried foods, oil, alcohol, etc.). Sebaceous glands secrete sebum, an oily substance. It is made from oil, fat supplied by the blood.

Too much fat in the bloodstream can wind up not only in the arteries, veins, liver, thighs, arms, stomach, etc. but also in the skin, face, head, shoulders, back, etc.  The excess condition needs to reduce the excess. Eat less protein and fat, especially animal (turkey is light) and more white rice, beans, nuts, seeds, vegetables, cooked and raw, and fruit, apples.

Space and or skip meals, especially dinner. Dinner should be light.  Experience hunger and quench with water.

The skin is the body’s largest organ. It has several functions.

(1) Acts as a protective cover, shield creating a barrier between the body and its external environment (hot, cold, dry, damp, wind).

(2) Has pores, openings allowing the body to release excess heat, energy in the form of perspiration and retain heat, energy.

(3) Sebaceous glands located throughout the body in the dermis directly below the epidermis secrete sebum an oily liquid that moistens the skin and hair. It also helps the body retain heat.

The beauty, health of the skin, starts from the inside. From the outside you can use goo quality soaps, shampoos, cosmetics, etc. I highly recommend Aubrey Organics and Zia Cosmetics.
