The price women pay for beauty has never been cheap. Breast augmentation surgery is the most popular type of cosmetic procedure that women endure to correct the lack of bounty that Mother Nature and their own mother failed to give them. But the price for this form of beauty is not cheap and it isn't just the initial cost for the implants themselves that can cost you.

The average total recovery time for implants is several weeks and the complete wait time for the swelling and bruising to go down so you can actually see the end product so to speak can be a month to four months depending on where your implants were implanted. A study of 450 women conducted by the University of Minnesota and the FDA found that ten years later 96% of the women with saline implants were happy with their breast size and surgical results and stated they would make the same decision again. Which is good to know when you're on the other side considering your options about surgery.

The majority of women in the study (71%) also felt their breast augmentation was a success based on the fact that their breast looked and felt normal to them. The study did not give the details on the size of implants that the women went to but most doctors will ensure that their patients don't go to big with their new breast because it is the over the top Dolly Parton look that looks fake to most people and marks your enhanced breast as just that.

Ultimately you want your breast augmentation to look and feel natural and you want to be able to say ten years later that the choice for implants was a good one that you would do again. The price women pay for beauty can be high but it should at least be worth it in the end.
