Breast Augmentation: The Most Personal Decision a Woman Can Make

Studies show that women are more able to detect on their own when a saline implant has ruptured versus a silicone filled one. This is why it is extremely important for women to have yearly or semiannual exams which include MRI's to make sure that their implants have not been compromised. There is also the risk of nerve damage which can cause a loss of sensation in the nipple or increased and painful sensation of the nipple area.
Regardless of what type of implants are used during a breast augmentation, as long as the women who undergoes the procedure is happy with her choice and results, breast augmentation is the reason she can smile.
