Before committing to the procedure, most people want to know what to the recovery is like following breast augmentation. Here is what you can expect after the surgery.

Your doctor will prescribe medication to eliminate the pain over the next few days following the procedure. You may also be asked to wear a support garment after the surgery. Your doctors, however, will recommend that you do move around to speed your recovery.
Following the procedure, you should have in place several items in your home. Make sure that you have plenty of liquids. It will also be more convenient to have food to last several days. Your chest area may also make unusual sounds as a result of the fluid built up in them. The sounds should not last more than a few weeks. It is normal to have some air pockets in the area as well. Do not expect to return to work immediately. You will most likely need at least a week to rest and recuperate.
