Breast Implants: Pros and Cons

Breast implants are fake breasts made up of usually silicone that is inserted into a woman or man's chest. This is a surgical procedure. Any time a person wants breast implants, they go to a special plastic surgeon to get fitted for the right size cup of implant. This can be an A, B, C, or D cup size. After they get fitted and pick out which ones they may want, the surgery is done. The pros to breast implants to some women are that it raises their self esteem, it makes their bodies look better, and can change a lot of things for them personally, and professionally. A con to having breast implants is that it is a dangerous procedure, any doctor can tell you that. Often times the breasts get infected, or the implant itself causes an infection in a women's breast, and this can lead to the women losing their whole breast in general. It also can lead to fatalities. Some women have died from the infections and side effects having implants caused them. Other women's implants did not take well to their body, and the implants literally fell apart, therefore causing them to lose their breasts this way too. Also after surgery it is very painful, some women wish they never had it done after they experienced the pain caused in having the surgery. Breast implants can also affect breathing, and cause numerous changes to a woman's body. Although these are some serious side effects, a lot of reports shown no dangerous side effects at all, and women live happy with their breast implants without reporting any problems. There's always a chance something could go wrong, or the body can't take that kind of change to it, and react badly to the breast implants. I believe before anyone makes a decision to get breast implants, they should do a lot of research on it, and get a lot of advice and support from their families, doctors, or people who have had the procedure done themselves just to get some information on what they might be about to do. There are always pros and cons to everything, but in this certain case, the cons out weight the pros. The best advice would to get all information possible on the type of surgery you might get, and do a lot of information on the doctor you chose for the surgery. There is a higher chance of the surgery being a success if the surgeon who does it is an experienced, and well qualified surgeon with long time experience in plastic surgery.
