Colours influence our mood, our emotions, our inner self. Some touch our natures, there are some we love, and some we don’t.

Colours influence us with their special electromagnetic resonance (wavelengths and frequencies), regardless of us being conscious of this influence, which is why it colours can be used for healing purposes.


1. Blue

The colour blue radiates cleanliness, quiet and coolness, also harmony, security, peace, and a sense of infinity. We need it more when we’re sick or exhausted. It shows a wish for relaxation.


2. Green

It is the colour of faith, hope, belief, and a fresh start. It signifies a future rich in possibilities, and a need for development, reform, decisiveness and self-confidence. It shows a wish for relationships based on mutual love and trust.


3. Crimson

It radiates warmth, activity and dynamism. It signifies life, courage, all-out efforts, vital desires and a wish to win. Used excessively, it can mean a sense of conflict, impatience, and a tendency for aggression.


4. Yellow

It means openness, joy, optimism and hope – a wish for happiness, gaiety, laughter, unrestrained behaviour, and a sense of freedom and intellectual experiences. Its characteristics are curiosity, interest, a thirst for knowledge and mental activity.


5. Violet (purple)

A mystical colour, which unifies a the depth of blue and the activity of crimson. It symbolizes cosmic power, and is the colour of intuition and empathy. It shows a tendency for meditation, enchantment, mystical experiences. It can mean a strong desire for love, as well.


6. Brown

This colour means an intense need for comfort, family, home and health. Financial and other kinds of security, physical needs and a harmonious background also are very important.


7. Grey

It signifies distance, solitude, freedom, and secrecy. It is the colour of voluntary solitude. Those who prefer this colour don’t want to make a stir, but think of herself as different from other people. She secretly desires success, and feels experienced. It also shows neutrality, and strict boundaries.


8. Black

It symbolizes the idea of disappearance and surrender. It is the colour of absolute passivity and the absence of desire, of the disappointed, exhausted person. We require it when we receive too many impulses at once, like a tiring journey, bad news, disappointment, or overwork. The best we can do at times like these is to switch off everything, go to bed, snuggle under the covers, close our eyes, relax our muscles and think of nothing at all, and watch our breathing, while we drift off to sleep.
