Constipation or irregularity, is a condition of the digestive system where a person (or animal) experiences hard feces that are difficult to eliminate; it may be extremely painful, and in severe cases (fecal impaction) lead to symptoms of bowel obstruction.

  1. Best out of the small town: Eat lots of raisons, or prunes, or fibre in general ie bananas aparently. If you eat lots of after dinner stuff ensure that they have a laxative type effect. Drink lots of water to keep hydrated too.
  2. Exercise, especially walking around is helpful. People that sit too much tend to experience more constipation than active people.
  3. You need at least 30 % of Fiber in your diet. You will get the Fiber from 100% Bran from the Cerial. and other from your fruits and vegaetalbles you eat every day. That should take care of it and you should not have a problem with constipation any more.
  4. The most important factor in curing constipation is a natural and simple diet. This should consist of unrefined food such as whole grain cereals, bran, honey, molasses, and lentills; green and leafy vegetables, especially spinach, French beans, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, cabbage, cauliflower, brussels, sprouts, celery, turnip, pumpkin, peas, beets, asparagus, carrot; fresh fruits, especially pears, grapes, figs, papayas, mangoes, grapefruit, gooseberries, guava, and oranges; dry fruits such as figs, raisins, apricots and dates; milk products in the form of butter, ghee, and cream.
  5. Drink a quart of apple juice within a half hour which never fails to get things going. If this happens often you may want to try adjusting your daily diet or if that's not an option, take psyllium husks.
  6. The problem starts when you eat and ends when you get plugged up. Do you eat large meals, don't. Do you brush your tongue so you can taste your food, do. Eat small meals. Are you burping? Get some hydrochloric acid for your stomach. If your stomach is sending signals, get some enzymes for your intestines.
  7. Calcium and magnesium works great! A good ratio is 2 mg calcium for every 1 mg magnesium.
  8. Another traditional home remedy is simply consuming larger quantities of water. Increased water consumption cleanses the digestive system and hydrates the intestines. In the large intestine, water is absorbed from the stool as it passes through the digestive tract.
  9. Consume foods rich in beneficial bacteria. These sources of digestion-enhancing bacteria aid with the breakdown of food and with assimilating nutrients into the bloodstream.
