Thoughts: Organic feasts. How good are they? To cook wholesome yummy earthy organic foods from the earth and share them with your friends that you love oh so much! MMMMM! You look and feel great afterwards too! Today I went to the fresh food market,Day 22 Articles and absolutely indulged in fresh fruit and vegetables! It's so nice to invest in my life and my body! Health has no price!
More and more people are on a mission to find out where their food comes from and how is it grown, produced and processed. It's not much of a suprise that the latest food movement to sweep the world has seen people go back to grassroots market hunting and gathering and turning their backs on imported produce. For me, it's all about supporting local farmers and finding the freshest food to fuel my body.
And there's no shortage of variety to pick from at the market stalls: meat, olives, apples, nuts, citrus, honey, fresh fruit and vegetables. I am becoming more conscious about how food impacts my body and the environment. Plus the fruit and veg at the markets tastes way better, more fresh, whole and real, plus it even looks organic with its-imperfectness compared to the super plumped alien looking apples in the supermarkets!!! I am sooo over the supermarket! In fact supermarket shopping is old school! Markets are in again! Woooo!
Challenges: Today I worked on the Athan-Jon/Jigalin photo shoot, we shot in the 7/11 and oh there were so many chips, and chocolates, and nutella and tim tams and lollies. It definitely is a challenge to not have those things. It would be easier to have them thats for sure.
Triumphs: Well I didn't eat from the 7/11 junk food factory!
What I Ate Today:
Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs. Lichees.
Lunch: a bowl of oats. Cherries.
Dinner: The exact same green thai curry that I made last night!!!! I loved it so much that I had it a second night! hehe! The recipe is in blog Day 21.

Dessert: I was still hungry (hehe you burn a lot of energy modeling for a day) so I cooked another free range organic chicken fillet! especially after curry I crave sweet, so the protein fixed my cravings right up! ;)
Snacks: cherries. I made my chocolate balls with macadamia nuts and oats! MMMM!
Cost: Today I spent $52 at the fresh food markets, I indulged in free range organic eggs, chicken, cherries, lichees, broccoli, beetroot, ginger, garlic, lemon, apple, cucumber, egg plant, zuchinni, tomato, lettuce ohhh so much fresh goodness! If I had purchased that at the supermarket in the city where I live it would have cost triple!
Recipe: Recipe for how to make your own authentic thai green curry from scratch is in last nights blog (Day 21)
Exercise: a day of modelling and holding unusual poses that you would not do in your normal day, hehe I'm looking forward to seeing what muscles are sore tomorrow! Below a behind the scenes shot from the Athan-Jon/Jigalin shoot! Starring Tora and Jonathan Pampling! Griffith Tcehn Pan photographer.
