Switching dentists is not like finding a new person to work on our car or someone to come fix your plumbing. We are talking about someone to work on and in your mouth and so it is not the sort of thing you want to just look in the yellow pages and pick somebody. On the other hand it is not always clear how to go about finding somebody to work on your oral hygiene. Fortunately there are a number of tips and guidelines to follow that can make the process much easier.

If you decide you like more than one office make an appointment at both. Have a cleaning and initial checkup at both places and see what you like better. It may cost a little bit out of pocket but it will prevent you from settling on the wrong choice of possible dentists.
