Women actually don't run into quite as many issues about shaving and although some companies would frown upon a woman with excessive hair under her armpits or on her legs, most don't know about it because of clothing items covering the issue. Of course, if a woman were to begin wearing clothing that exposed her excessive hair then more companies would probably keep after women as well.

All men and women need to be shaving daily because you never know when something may pop up and you will want to be clean shaven. An issue may come up so that you have to go on the road and you won't have a shaving time to clean up.
