If you got poor service at a restaurant you would complain to the manager. If you got poor customer service at a store while shopping again you’d complain to the manager. In both cases you’d probably tell all your family and friends about your experience and in some cases,Doctor Reviews – Giving the Patient a Voice Articles if the service had been bad enough, you probably wouldn’t darken their door again or at least not for a long while. So why are some people okay with receiving poor service from their healthcare professionals? That’s where doctor reviews can help give back a voice to the patients.

Doctor reviews are designed to allow you, the patient, let others know of the excellent or poor care that your physician has given you. In many cases people stay with the same healthcare professional for so long because they trust him. It’s good to like your physician. If you like how he handles your cases the by all means tell the world about it. There could be a patient in need of loving care that could use his expertise.

Don’t be worried about what your physician will do if he sees one of your doctor reviews of him. If it’s written in a way that is negative about him, maybe he’ll realize what he did and change the way he treats his patients. As long as you are truthful in your opinion of what happened between you then you won’t have to worry about anything.
The entire point of doctor reviews is to allow the patient to let others know of physicians that don’t measure up and healthcare professionals that go above and beyond the call. Patients often feel intimidated by the people caring for them. This way you can tell others in your area about someone they should avoid or see. You shouldn’t worry about what your physician will say if he should see it. If you’d like many of these comments can be made under user names or as anonymous so that you’re identity isn’t revealed if you are worried about unnecessary repercussions.

Doctor reviews are a good way for you to let your voice be heard. Some physicians might not read them but others do and try to take the constructive criticism to heart so that they will know what they are doing wrong with their patients. There is no reason you should stay with a healthcare provider who treats you like you are unimportant. There is nothing unimportant about you, you are the patient.
