Essential Oil Blends Used In AromatherapyEssential oils are concentrated, aromatic plant oils used in aromatherapy. Essential Oils are the fragrant essences of plants in their purest, most concentrated state. There are many ways to use essential oils, such as in a massage oil, room spray, and aromatherapy diffuser or simply by adding a few drops to a bath. Aromatic blending for the sheer pleasure of the aroma is a combination of creativity and science. When using a blend created primarily for its fragrance, therapeutic benefit can also occur. The focus of the blend, however, is on the final aroma, not its therapeutic properties. Creating your own fragrances is a mischievous artwork, requiring little much than hunch, vision, a love for smell, and care to a few easy guidelines. Start tiny, mixing no much than 2 to 5 oils per mix and blending fall by fall. To have a feeling for specific combinations of oils, place the bottle caps jointly and smell them, or take tiny strips of chocolate filter or blotter newspaper. Working in a hot room will heighten the fragrant qualities of the oils. If your oil bottles are not equipped with dropper tops, bill oils with a glass dropper , rinsing it in isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and wiping it away between each oil.Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
