Sometimes how you feel does not necessarily go hand in hand with how healthy you are. You might feel great and think that all is well but then you can go to the doctor and find out some things that are surprising. That is why those well checks are of such importance. You might think that you are doing just fine when in reality you are growing tumors and there is plaque building up in your arteries.

Just because you have not been diagnosed with a serious illness does not mean that you are healthy and if true health is your goal then you must take care of your body and mind and do those things that help to promote health. An active lifestyle will help to keep your body and mind going and studies show that those who have a more active lifestyle tend to live longer and spend less of their lives suffering.

Taking the time and using some energy to become more healthy is a good plan. It is the start to having a fulfilling and enjoyable life as opposed to one that is riddles with health problems. Even with the best genes in the world there are still many lifestyle choices that can destroy your body and make life miserable. Keeping yourself both physically and mentally healthy will mean that your quality of life will be much better than other alternatives.
