Home Remedies For Preventing Stretch Marks During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a special condition. Stretch mark is the special after effect. So, you need to make special, intelligent efforts to go to the root of the problem and solve it accordingly.

Stretch marks are mostly pregnancy-related. But having stretch marks is not a disease. Use moisturizing agents like vitamin E and cocoa butter and almond oil on the affected area regularly. You can also use lavender oil and vitamin K. These have shown encouraging results in many cases.

The main reason for pregnancy-related stretch marks is uncontrolled weight gain. So, control your weight gain by following an intelligent diet and exercising regime during the pregnancy. Walking and stretching are also highly recommended thus during pregnancy. With these precautions, weight gain will follow the normal pattern and your skin will not be subjected to abrupt stretches.

After your mind your skin is the most stressed part of your body during the pregnancy. It is on the natural expansion spree. Drink water in liberal quantity, for you need to see that the skin remains moist and supple. When elasticity of the skin is maintained, you are removing the major cause for the stretch mark. It is also advisable for the expectant mothers to take daily oil massages with vitamin E and C. At this juncture, the diet aspect also takes priority. The diet should be well balanced. Eat the food that is skin-friendly. Never forget that excessive weight gain is the prime cause of stretch marks.
