• First, check your vanity box if it has branded liner, lipstick, compact and other accessories, like of Avon. If you have branded them, find if those bottles read ‘long-lasting’. Let’s say Avon Color Last Lipstick. It’s just an example that depicts the longevity of the product after applying.
• Check the packaging that must read smudge-proof (for Kohl/Kajal), long staying (Lip-colour/ eye-shadow) or long-lasting (foundation/compact) words.

Which beauty products for various skin types?

• All are born with different skin type. So, you have to determine what yours is. Normal, oily and dry are the main types. If you don’t know yours, take a tissue paper and dab it on your T-zone (i.e. nose, forehead and chin). The traces of grease point that you have normal skin. And no such marks represent that it’s dry. Oily skin looks shiny always.

Pick up the one that displays ‘Non-Oily Formula’, ‘Matte- Finish’ or ‘Non-Greasy’ if you have oily surface.

Choose moisturizing formula for dry skin. The beauty accessories with hydrating formula, Shea Butter, Honey and Glycerin are identical for dry skin. Likewise, choose your foundation and liner accordingly.   

• Since skin tone varies, you have to identify yours first. For example, choosing complimenting lipstick depends on your tone (that can be fair, red, pale, dusky or dark).

How should we start makeup for party or office?

• Cleanse: Make your canvas clean. Clean it with the cotton swab that is soaked in milk. It’s the best way to get rid of impurities sitting on the outer layer. If it is stubborn, you can use home-made scrubber.

Mix one spoon gram-flour with milk. Add a pinch of turmeric for fairness. Prepare a thick paste and apply. If you have dry skin, you can coconut/mustard/ almond oil to it, nut only 2-3 drops. Apply it and after 5 minutes, rub it off. Then, rinse with normal water.  

• Moisturize: Since your surface is cleansed, some essential oils that form protective layer might be washed away. Apply any mild moisturizer.
• Use ice: It’s the most crucial and inevitable step to bring lasting effect to your makeup. Take an ice-cube from the freezer. Rub it all across the surface. The open pores will be closed safely. Our skin continues to secrete oil. Skipping this step can let the oil smudge the flawless effect of makeup.   
• Apply primer: Primer prepares a clean canvas. It hides fine lines, patches and dark circles as well. And also, it stops the chemical-based foundation, blush and eye-shadows to come in direct contact with epidermis (the outer layer).
• Foundation: Powder-based compact are good for oily surface. And it stays for long. Choose-water-proof cosmetics, if you have normal to dry skin.

Sometimes, wrong practice can clog the pores. To get rid of it, just dab and smudge to blend it up instead of smearing it harshly.

• Blush for V-Shape Face: Oval is the face-cut that every heart desires. It can be fulfilled applying slightly darker blusher than your skin tone. Apply it along the lower jawline on cheeks. Blend it with brush. This way around face will look V-shaped.
• Compact: Dust up your make up with the compact. It will let you glow for hours.
• Lipstick: Before applying lipstick, coat primer on your lips. Plump it with lip-liner instead of lip colour. It will stay for long hours. Dust it up with compact. Then, you can apply lip-gloss for shiny pouts.
• Tan the eye: Apply the primer for eyes. Choose the gel based transparent primer. It will fill the fine lines and give smooth texture to lids, creases and brow-bone areas.

Glide the pencil liner along lash lines. Then, dust some powder on it. Let it sit a bit. Swipe wet liner covering it.

• Eye-shadow: Always remember that glittery shadow tends to look you older. So, avoid it. Instead choose the shimmery or matte eye-shadows.

Apply the primer first. Overlap it with foundation. Smudge while dabbing it instead of smearing harshly. Then, apply the eye-shadow of your choice.
