How to correctly understand antibiotics

Drug abuse, particularly the overuse of antibiotics, is widespread on the Chinese mainland. All that we should do is to be careful and take more exercise to keep fit.

Antibiotics, applying to the treatment of bacterial disease sharply reduced infectious complications rate and fatality rate, have been found for about eighty years. However, improper drug use is very common, especially in China, recent years. Drug abuse without regard to consequences can cause not only antibiotic-resistant superbugs coming into being, but also increasing the side effect of drug.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that usage rate of antibiotics is less than 30%. A case in point is that in most developed countries like Britain, its rate is only 22% - 25%. According to a report by WHO, the usage rate of antibiotics is up to 80 percent with patients in Chinese mainland. There is no denying that most of Chinese households habitually stock antibiotics at home. Antibiotics are no longer secreting chemicals that kill germs for us. No doubt, many people have taken antibiotics without a doctor's guidance.

Drug abuse, particularly the overuse of antibiotics, is widespread on the Chinese mainland. It is more than a purely medical problem. The complicated social issue is concerned by more and more people. Some doctors do this to achieve the quickest and best result, while others do it to receive kickbacks from drug companies. Should they are the first one to be blamed for the situation? Nowadays, injections seem to have been phased out. Given a child catch a cold, he or she will be treated with intravenous drips. Do parents know the dangers of overuse of antibiotics for children?

It is a fact that each Chinese consumes an average of 138 grams of antibiotics a year, more than 10 times that taken by a person in the United States, according to the survey. We pay great attentions on the chemical substances---antibioticsScience Articles, but still little control. All that we should do is to be careful and take more exercise to keep fit.
