How to use homemade acne cream easily

Acne can disappear on their own without any medication. However, they may take a very long time to disappear and become a source of embarrassment. You should try treating acne with homemade acne remedies, preferably by using homemade acne cream.

What is acne?

Acne is a skin disease that is characterised by multiple inflammatory and circumscribed elevation of the skin. The disease mainly affects those body parts that have high density of sebaceous follicles. Such areas are the face, chest and the back.

Acne appears as pimples or spots and at times become very confusing and one can treat pimples while the problem is acne. Though acne can infect anybody, it is common amongst teenagers. During puberty, male youth produce excess male sex hormones, which causes acne.

Acne causes

The main causes of acne include:

Gene factor. Some families have acne entrenched in their genes, resulting in the disease being inherited by offspring.
Stress. Scientific studies indicate that increased levels of stress leads to increased occurrence of acne. Studies also indicate that the onset of stress to an individual who already has acne leads to acne severity.
Bacterial infections. This occurs when the spores of the skin become infected by bacteria.
Diet. Diet has been noted to play a big role in the occurrence of acne. A diet that is rich in fat worsens acne. Margarine has also been noted to cause or increase acne in some individuals.

Acne can effectively be treated using homemade acne creams. These are creams that are made using ingredients commonly available at home, mostly in the kitchen.

One of the tested and proven homemade acne cream is the homemade garlic acne cream. This is made by pressing the garlic to obtain the garlic juice. The juice is applied on the affected areas and leaving on for several minutes then rinsing off. The garlic juice is very strong and should not be left on the skin for long as it can cause other skin problems.

Those with very soft skin texture should avoid using garlic juice as homemade acne cream as it can ‘burn’ the skin. Alternatively, the juice can slightly be diluted using water to reduce its strength.

It is strongly advised that before the application of homemade garlic acne cream, any other body skin cream used should be washed and cleaned out. This is to avoid any chances of reactions on the skin, which can damage the skin.
