Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure which is basically easy to implement. The main objective is to get rid of body hair in various places deemed inconvenient by the individual. There are several advantages and disadvantages of using laser hair removal. One of the most important advantages of this procedure is the fact that it is highly effective in doing what it is supposed to do. Growth is actually stopped for most patients and they are highly satisfied with the results. Another advantage of the procedure is the minimal, or no, pain that the individual experiences. Some of the other techniques actually inflict some degree of discomfort and pain which can make the individual cringe. The main disadvantage of the treatment is the cost that it may bring to the person undergoing it.
It definitely costs more than waxing, threading and shaving. Another downside to it is the fact that it can actually be ineffective to some individuals. A few women have reported growth in the area which has undergone laser hair removal. The fact of the matter is that not all women may be entirely satisfied with the results because there are some who may have stubborn follicles which may not die off so easily.
Additional sessions may be scheduled for an additional cost when the time comes. Some dermatologists can tell when an area may be difficult to remove just by looking at the growth there. Many people still swear by the efficacy of laser hair removal. This is mainly because dissatisfied patient are few and far between. The cost is not as astronomical as others may expect and the discomfort is minimal. Recurrence of growth can be remedied with more sessions as well.
