Marriage or wedlock is an interpersonal relationship (usually intimate and physical) with governmental, social, or religious recognition. It is often created as a contract or through civil processes.
Civil marriage is the legal concept of marriage as a governmental institution. The most common form of marriage unites one man and one woman as husband and wife.
An intentional marriage is one where the partners are conscious, deliberate, and painful about maintaining and building a sense of connection over the years. A pragmatic marriage or arranged marriage is made easier by formal procedures of family or group politics. A responsible authority sets up or encourages the marriage; they may, indeed, engage a professional matchmaker to find a suitable spouse for an unmarried person. The right to marry whoever one wishes is one among the elementary human right, an inalienable human rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". This right is proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence and to this category the right to home and marriage unquestionably belongs.

You are polite and say "please" and "thank you" when speaking to your spouse.
You show respect for your mate.
You let your spouse know how much he/she is appreciated.
You don't roll your eyes when your spouse says something you disagree with.

Steps to improve the marriage
You have to decide that the marriage is important in your life and give it the time and attention it needs. It doesn't matter what you say or intend about your marriage. Your actions are what speak the loudest.
Focus on what you like and love about the person instead of what you don't like or gets on your nerves.
Stop when you start to criticize your spouse, with words or even in your mind.
Kindness matters in marriages, so be kind. If you are choosing whether to be "right" or to be kind, always choose kindness.
This week, do something kind for your spouse that you wouldn't normally do and without expectation of anything in return.
Show appreciation for your spouse and what they mean to you. We urge you to make a habit of expressing appreciation.
Speak kindly with love in your voice. Use your bedroom voice.
Remember, your marriage is the most important relationship you have. More important than any other you had, have or will have.
