  1. Start with your foundation. There is no need for a heavy foundation, but your skin likely does not need a bronzer anymore. Therefore, look for a foundation that is light on the skin. If your skin is starting to feel the effects of cold weather, do invest in moisturizers.

  2. Transform your look through color. Start moving from the pastels of summer to the more earthy tones of fall. Your eyeshadow may go from the pinks and blue hues of summer, to more earthen shades like oranges and browns for the fall months. Do the same with your blush. Add a little glow to your cheeks, but do not over emphasizes sun tan colors. Your skin should be transitioning to a more natural look.

  3. Mascara and eyeliner are important tools, too. Here, you can use liquid eyeliner. Choose to add a bit more than you would during the summertime, but do not overdo it.

One of the nice things about autumn makeup is that it is more natural feeling than most other times of the year. You are transitioning into the wintertime colors and skin tones so be sure you utilize color in all of the makeup products you use.
