Tattoos are very popular in today's culture. They are no longer for sailors,Methods For Making Changes To A Tattoo Articles circus performers and teenagers any longer, businessmen and even soccer moms have tattoos today. Often times, a person will outgrow a tattoo that they had applied years before. Other times, tattoos need touching up or alterations so that the owner is happy with the work that is going to be permanently on their body. When it comes to making changes to a tattoo, there are several methods that a person can do this.

Cover-Ups
If you get a tattoo that you don't like, has an ex's name inserted in the tattoo, or there is a mistake in the tattoo that you have, cover-ups are one of the most popular methods of changing the tattoo. While some tattoos are hard to cover up because of the design that they are or include, many tattoo cover-ups can look awkward because they they are dark colors and often large blocks of solid colors to cover the design beneath it. If the cover-up is changing a tattoo to add more defined lines, brighten color or add things to an existing tattoo, then these often look better than before because the overall design isn't changing just being enhanced.

Additions
Some people like large tattoos but don't have the money to get them all at once. Sleeves or body pieces that cover an entire area of the body are often smaller tattoos that are added to others to make a theme or an overall larger piece. these tattoos often all have a theme that they fall under so that the designs go well with each other and don't look awkward or out of place. Once another design is added to the first, it alters the first to something different depending on what the theme you are looking for is.

Laser Removal
This is often the last resort for many people because they are unsure if the laser removal will completely change the tattoo or remove it from their body. Even though the tattoo has been changed or removed, there is usually some sort of scar left behind from the pigment being removed from the skin. Many people don't like this because it feels to them as if the tattoo was never removed. Laser removal often take several passes to completely remove pieces of a tattoo or the whole thing.

Touch Ups
When you get a tattoo, often there is ink that doesn't soak in or places that may need another pass over due to bleeding or too much ink in the way to see. If this is the case, once the initial tattoo heals going back in to get touch ups, add a few small details and filling in any areas that may be lacking are usually included in the price of the tattoo.
