Plastic surgeons are specialists who deal with operations and treatments that are focused on cosmetic procedures. Many of these specialists focus on certain aspects of the anatomy instead of the overall general appearance.

This is one of the most requested procedures that are asked of a doctor. The idea of this operation is to suck out the excess fat cells that are found in the patient's body. The deposits that are usually found underneath the skin are vacuumed out of the body through the use of a rod or tube. This rod is handled by the doctor in with a smooth movement that spans the area. Some doctors combine the lifting procedure with the use of implants.

The tummy tuck, otherwise called an abdominoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery operation that gives almost immediate results. The abdomen is given a flatter and leaner appearance by trimming off the excess skin and tissues and then tightening the remaining skin. Although it is mostly women who undergo this operation, there are also a significant number of men who ask their plastic surgeons for it. It helps if the woman has lost some weight before she undergoes the surgery.
