Because of the life threatening Prempro side effects,Prempro Class Action Lawsuits Articles Prempro class actions suits have been filed and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Wyeth have revised the prescribing information to include a boxed warning stating that estrogens and estrogens plus progestin should not be used for the prevention of heart disease.

The Prempro class action allegations rely on the fact that the boxed warning now includes risk information from the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) study about increased risks of Prempro side effects of heart attacks, stroke, invasive breast cancer, pulmonary embolism (blood clots), and deep vein thrombosis in postmenopausal women. Estrogens with or without progestin should be prescribed at the lowest effective doses and for the shortest duration.

Do you qualify for the Prempro class action suit? On July 11, 2002, a nationwide Prempro class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of all women who were prescribed Prempro. As alleged in the Prempro class action lawsuit, Wyeth and Wyeth-Ayerst Research were named as the defendants in this action due to their responsibility in manufacturing, promoting, marketing, distributing, and selling Prempro.
