Because of the life threatening Prempro side effects, Prempro class actions suits have been filed and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Wyeth have revised the prescribing information to include a boxed warning stating that estrogens and estrogens plus progestin should not be used for the prevention of heart disease.
The Prempro class action allegations rely on the fact that the boxed warning now includes risk information from the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) study about increased risks of Prempro side effects of heart attacks, stroke, invasive breast cancer, pulmonary embolism (blood clots), and deep vein thrombosis in postmenopausal women. Estrogens with or without progestin should be prescribed at the lowest effective doses and for the shortest duration.

Zyprexa litigation has been targeted at a number of Zyprexa side-effect problems: Some patients have reported the Zyprexa side-effect of gaining up to 65 pounds after taking Zyprexa. After the weight gain some developed the Zyprexa side-effect of diabetes or glucose abnormalities.
